Seeking a Staff Engineer to perform landfill construction quality assurance (CQA) and construction technician. This position may require travel and overnight stays including some weekends, depending on job site location. Most work is in Ohio. The Staff Engineer will start in the field, responsible for traveling to various solid waste facilities to perform on-site documentation/recording of daily activities, verifying the work contractors are doing is accurate, as well as soil testing to ensure it meets project specifications. Responsibilities: Perform hands-on tooling set-up, installation, operation, adjustment, sample fabrication, product measurement, troubleshooting, testing, data analysis, project/product management and technical communication to internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to progress projects. Working knowledge of high-speed aluminum metal forming technologies, including drawing, coining, ironing and stamping. Minimum Requirements: Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college degree level education, engineering degree or work-related experience. Preferred Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (B.A.), with work experience in the metal packaging industry, either at plant or technical level with experience in high-speed metal forming technologies and experience with engineering/mechanical principles and practices.
