PLN's community transformation work brings together community members, community-based organizations, city and county agencies, elected officials, and businesses to tackle issues that impact PLN families. Ninety-three percent of families served by PLN live in areas with the highest levels of food insecurity and homelessness in L.A. County. Position Overview This training track is for students seeking a Field Placement that leads to eligibility for the Pupil Personnel Services Credential (PPSC) in school social work. This track entails placement at one of our three Charter schools. We currently have a middle school (6th-8th grades), elementary (TK-grade 5) and a primary center (Tk-1st grade). Training within this track includes supporting with individual and small group counseling, attendance (includes tracking, meeting with parents, conducting home visits, supporting school staff with incentive programs); classroom interventions; presentations (i.e. topics such as bullying, conflict resolution, etc..); parent workshops; case management and crisis intervention. Students will have the opportunity to co-facilitate groups on topics such as social skills, bullying, etc. Available Internship Days and Times: This internship is a 20 hours a week commitment. Internship days are flexible, however attendance at the site must be during school hours (i.e. 7:30am-3:30pm). If you would like to qualify for the PPSC, you will need to serve at one site for 16 hours and the remaining four at another site. Wednesdays are a mandatory training day as this is the day of the week in which staff meetings, trainings and group supervision take place on a weekly basis (9am-3pm). The primary start date for training is the first Wednesday after Labor Day. There will be a 2 day orientation that will take place in late August (date to be determined) in order to help the students with onboarding activities. This orientation is necessary in order to ensure students have completed activities that will support their beginning their clinical training. It should also be noted that for the first two weeks of training in September most trainings are scheduled to take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Attendance to these training days is required unless prior arrangements have been discussed with the respective training supervisor. Special Requirements: (ie: livescan , TB clearance, training days prior experience) We require that all students pass a livescan, drug screening and TB test. Agency wide trainings are also required (topics on trauma informed treatment, child abuse reporting, CPR / First Aide, etc..) Supervision and Training Plan Supervision: Students receive 1 hour of individual and 2 hours of group supervision weekly. Individual supervision is done in person while group supervision is conducted via telehealth format. Group supervision consists of no more than 8 students.     The Production Machine Trainee is to perform basic set-ups and operate production machines to achieve all company targets and standards. Must be able to run at least 3 production machines such as Broach, Fillet Roll, Shave A, Traub and Groove. Production Machine Trainee position must maintain the expected level of competency for production machines in accordance with skill assessments. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential requirements represents the knowledge, skill, and/or ability. Performs basic sets up and operates up to three automatic machines to produce parts according to blueprints, router package, specifications and/or special instructions. Recognizes and detects machine out-of-tolerance and adjust controls or control media as required. Performs basic trial runs to check accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. Checks parts for conformance to specifications using gauges, SPC and shop floor system. Recognizes and remedies minor machine malfunctioning and in-process inspections. Major discrepancies are reported to lead or supervisor. Determines and performs proper feed and speed combinations. Provide necessary information to Manufacturing team, Engineering Team or others to document procedures and drawings. Performs work operations under supervision. Checks tooling and reworks as needed to keep machine running. Lays out parts for successive and continuous machining operations. Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards, by following blueprints or work instructions. Participate and maintain LEAP and APU/GAP standards. Participate and engage in the PSM1 meetings, reporting any ongoing and long-term problems you encounter. Sustain actions regarding projects and workshops. Performs record keeping, data entry, housekeeping, and follows all safety regulations. Responsible for complying with the rules and regulations set forth by Federal, Local, and State government, LISI Aerospace, and HSE Procedures. Responsible for attending all training provided and for adhering to all HSE procedures, policies, and plans, conforming to reporting requirements, and safe operating procedures always.
