Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Performs all clinical duties necessary to provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to girls and women includes conducting outpatient clinics, delivering babies, performing minor and major surgery, providing ultrasound examinations, and other clinical duties not specified. Care for and treat women during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
* In an emergency, maybe be required to perform duties outside the designated area of specialization. Perform cesarean sections or other surgical procedures as needed to preserve patients' health and deliver infants safely.
* Prepares appropriate medical records for all patients seen to assure the accumulation and organization of all pertinent clinical data needed to provide comprehensive medical care. Dictates clinical reports and correspondence concerning patients under his/her care to physicians, hospitals and other individuals and facilities.
* Refers patients to appropriate contracted medical or other government facilities, providing full clinical information for care and diagnostic procedures that cannot be adequately provided here. Coordinates and integrates information obtained into the ongoing Health Care Program at TCRHCC and assures the provision of timely follow-up care as required.
* Works closely with allied health professionals (i.e., Community Health Nurse, Social Workers, Health Educator, etc.) to utilize and coordinate the services of other health care professionals in the management of patients' medical, psychological, and social problems.
* Handwriting must be legible and must be willing to use an Electronic Health Record.
* Ensure proper PPE is always worn while on duty including but not limited to, face mask, gloves, gown, isolation gown, NIOSH-approved N95 filtering facepiece respirator or higher, if available), and eye or face shield.
