Position Purpose:

Essential Job Functions
The incumbent must be able to perform all the following duties and responsibilities

Greet clients and patients arriving for appointments and escort them into an exam room, obtain weight and vital signs (temperature, pulse, respirations) and record the electronic medical record. Veterinary Assistants will collect thorough patient histories and document the patient visit in the EMRs.
Assist doctors with appointments (routine and emergency), surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia, under supervision from the veterinarian credentialed veterinary technician, , HOM and HLOD.
Perform patient restraint, obtain and process laboratory samples, handle and dispense medications at the direction of the veterinarian and help maintain the electronic medical record.
Schedule appointments, provide client education, relay test results to doctor and clients, and maintain and update client/patient records.
Help prepare patients for surgical and dental procedures and assist doctor and/or veterinary technician in anesthetizing patients. Under supervision of the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician, assistants will maintain patients safely under anesthesia while monitoring vital parameters, help monitor patients during recovery and prepare them for hospital discharge or transfer to an overnight care facility.
Under supervision of the veterinarian and/or veterinary technician, perform in-hospital treatments for sick patients including giving injectable and oral medications as well as intravenous fluid therapy; keep patients clean, watered, and fed (when indicated and directed by doctor), safely walk canine patients when necessary for elimination.
Under direction of the HOM/HLOD, assist in the training of new staff members and general dissemination of knowledge as required.
Keep hospital environment neat and clean; perform regular cleaning of environment based on necessity as well as based on a pre-determined maintenance schedule.
Other Duties and Responsibilities

Provide backup phone and front desk support as needed
Nature of Supervision
In all activities related to the care of individual patients, the incumbent will take direct supervision from the veterinarians as well as the Veterinary Technician. For purposes of overall supervision, the incumbent takes direction from the HOM/HLOD or from the supervising technician for the shift.
Planning and Problem Solving
Like all team members, the Veterinary Assistant plays a crucial role in ensuring that day-to-day operation of the hospital is efficient and provides an optimal experience for our patients and clients.

* Analyze and Design Business Solutions. Analyze complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Partner with business teams to evaluate and articulate technical requirements and identify impact, risk, and benefit of alternative solutions. Provide technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, designing, and developing systems and processes that are cost effective and meet user requirements.
* Configure and Test Systems. Configure system settings (primarily with SAP SuccessFactors) and options; plan and execute unit, integration, and acceptance testing; and create specifications for systems to meet business requirements. Create test metrics, test plans, identify regression tests, and partner with QA for system, integration, and regression tests.
* Deliver Post-Implementation Support. Provide 3rd level post-implementation support to business users with a strong client service focus, ensuring seamless system adoption and optimal user experience.
What You'll Bring:
* Extensive HR Systems Experience. Minimum of 7+ years of experience as a Systems Analyst in the HR domain, with a deep understanding of HR business processes and technology solutions.
* SAP SuccessFactors Integration Expertise. 5+ years of integration knowledge with SAP SuccessFactors, especially with the modules of Employee Central, Recruiting, and Onboarding, demonstrating your ability to implement and optimize HR technology solutions.

The Concierge must ensure that the scheduled appointment duration is situation-appropriate (i.e. consider number of pets, sick/vs. well, etc.).
This role is unique in the hospital in that the Concierge will often be the first or last person dealing with upset or even potentially unhappy clients. This role requires an individual who is compassionate yet adaptable and flexible, and capable of not only doing what it takes to make the client's and pet's experience in our hospital optimal but also ensuring that the medical staff can focus on delivering excellent care. At times when these goals may seem to be at odds, it is the job of the Concierge to formulate strategies that accomplish both.

Certification Requirements
Stage 1: All candidates are required to complete the ‘Dog Training Instructor Program (DTIP)' to become Petco Certified Dog Trainer consisting of the following:

Your role at Sephora...
This role is Hybrid at our San Francisco office...The right candidate must reside in the Bay Area. We are looking for a hands-on Lead Engineer to drive the evolution of Sephora's Promotions Platform - the core engine powering our personalized offers, campaigns, and experiences across digital and stores. This role is ideal for someone who loves to design, build, and scale high-impact systems, while embracing the next wave of AI-augmented engineering.
You will work across the full stack - from modern Java-based microservices to intuitive React based front-end experiences and lead by example in design, coding, and technical decision-making while building large scale enterprise solutions suited for one of the best considered Ecommerce Platform in retail industry.
Reporting to the Manager. Engineering, you will collaborate closely with product, architecture, extremely talented peers and leads from cross functional teams to evaluate and understand requirements, identify gaps, and come up with best ways to achieve the solution. This is a hands-on technical role which demand strong engineering capability with an eye on performance, scalability & quality and must be able to demonstrate all this in day to day working.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the teams for omni channel implementation of promotion capabilities across the enterprise
* Design and build full-stack solutions across APIs, services, and UI layers by leveraging AI based code assistants such as GitHub CoPilot and Claude Code using Object-Oriented design principles and Software Engineering practices
* Explore and integrate AI/ML-based capabilities such as intelligent campaign targeting, rule recommendations, fraud prevention, and optimizations
* Build collaborative partnerships with architects, technical leads, and key individuals within other functional groups
* Contribute to the overall system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability, and performance of the omni promotions engine API's.
* Work with product and engineering team to understand requirements, evaluate new features and architecture to help drive decisions
* Participate in sprint releases with close to zero tolerance on delivery slippages.
* Able to quickly understand the business domain of promotions for dotcom and retail channels
* Proactively monitor, identify, isolate, and resolve problems to avoid impact on the business
* Ensure all teams related incident tickets are handled appropriately within the SLA's
* Mentor engineers through code reviews, design sessions, and pair programming
We're excited about you if you have:
* 8+ years hands-on experience in planning, designing, developing, and delivering enterprise solutions with excellent debug and troubleshooting skills
* 8+ years strong experience with Java/J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot frameworks and other web related technologies
* 6+ years first-hand experience in designing, deploying, and managing RESTful APIs using JSON message structures
* 4+ years hands-on experience with designing cloud-based applications using micro services architecture and best practices preferably on MS Azure cloud platform
* Experience with Full stack development involving front end technologies such as Java Script, React
* Experience leveraging AI developer tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claud Code) or integrating AI APIs into applications
* Experience with Istio service mesh, Feign client for third party calls, service discovery, Prometheus, and Azure logging
* Experience in Implementation of monitoring and alerts dashboards using Splunk, Nagios and App Dynamics
* Hands-on experience with queueing and streaming solutions such as Kafka, Coherence, etc
* Hands-on experience with My SQL, MS SQL and any other No SQL databases
* Preferred to have first-hand experience on the Talon.One promo engine tool
* Working experience with GitHub, Jenkins and other dev ops related tools & applications
* Experience working in the retail industry with a large-scale enterprise organization, ecommerce, marketing, and self-serviceable applications will be a plus
* Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and use good coding standards and design patterns to avoid them in the first place
* Highly self-motivated, independent, efficient, and work under pressure with a solid sense for setting priorities

The annual base salary range for this position is $173,610.00 - $192,900.00 The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses. This job will be posted for a minimum of five days.
