Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Underwriter to support the underwriting and portfolio management of renewable energy risks and broader energy construction projects. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex, evolving risks in solar, wind, battery energy storage systems (BESS), traditional power and energy, and petrochemical projects. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical ability with an interest in sustainable energy and commercial insurance. Key Responsibilities: * Underwrite new and renewal business for renewable energy clients and energy power projects across key P&C lines, including Property and Construction. * Evaluate risks during both construction and operational phases using engineering reports, broker submissions, and internal tools. * Work within established underwriting authority to assess exposures, set pricing, determine coverage terms, and ensure policy compliance. * Support senior underwriters and leadership in developing and maintaining a profitable portfolio. * Build and maintain relationships with brokers, clients, and internal teams including risk engineering, claims, and actuarial. * Assist in data analysis, account file documentation, and coordination of multinational insurance programs where applicable. * Stay informed on industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging risks relevant to energy and industrial insurance. Compensation The base salary range for this position is $110,000-$140,000 plus eligibility for a performance-based annual bonus.
