Position Overview:
An Anytime Fitness Member Experience Manager (MXM) is responsible for managing all aspects of club operations, sales performance, and member satisfaction. The MXM serves as a guidance counselor to all members, an educator and mentor for the training staff, and a strategist for ownership/management. The primary objective of this role is to optimize member engagement, retention, and revenue growth through strong leadership and strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Club Operations & Management:
Oversee daily club operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for members.
Manage club maintenance, equipment, and facility needs to maintain a high standard of service.
Supervise and support staff, including trainers and front desk personnel, fostering a positive and professional work environment.
Implement and enforce company policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.
Sales & Business Development:
Lead membership sales efforts by following up on leads, conducting tours, and enrolling new members.
Develop and execute marketing initiatives to drive club awareness, membership growth, and revenue.
Maintain and grow a pipeline of prospective new members through networking, referrals, and outbound sales activities.
Actively participate in community events and partnerships to promote the club and drive new membership opportunities.
Member Experience & Retention:
Oversee the Member Onboarding Process, ensuring every new member receives a personalized fitness consultation and a structured plan for success.
Monitor and manage member engagement and retention metrics, creating strategies to improve retention rates and customer satisfaction.
Foster strong relationships with members by providing exceptional customer service and addressing concerns promptly.
Personal Training Leadership:
Lead the personal training team by providing coaching, guidance, and professional development opportunities.
Ensure that trainers effectively support members in reaching their fitness goals through structured programming and motivation.
Drive personal training sales and participation by promoting programs and packages to members.
Financial & Performance Accountability:
Track and analyze sales and retention data, using insights to improve club performance.
Set and achieve monthly and annual sales targets, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
Work collaboratively with ownership/management to develop strategic growth initiatives.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Minimum 2 years experience running club operations and team management
Current CPR, AED, and nationally recognized personal training certification (e.g., NASM, ACE, ISSA) required.
Previous experience in personal training, fitness sales, or club management preferred.
Strong sales acumen with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
Familiarity with fitness club management software (Club O/S, Club Ready, My Fitness Pal, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with and motivate people.
A passion for fitness, health, and wellness, combined with a business-oriented mindset.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and capable of working both independently and as part of a team.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on club needs.
