ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
The Transportation Supervisor manages the daily work of the assigned dispatch to plan, execute, monitor and manage a component of assigned drivers/equipment and implement customer plans, routes, schedules, and to pick up or deliver freight.? The Transportation Supervisor coordinates the assigned dispatchers for the efficient and timely entry of all company and customer related data into the company transportation software and/or related software in the transportation department.? Works closely with company Load Planners and outside Carriers and ensures assigned dispatchers execute the efficient Load Plan models to ensure that the customer?s needs are being met including the communication of essential information of pick up and delivery information to the customer, carriers, and drivers. Ensures the assigned dispatchers update the transportation software database files with customer, EDI, carrier, vehicle, driver information, and all other relevant information. Ensures that all accident and incidents regarding driver injury, equipment, and driver safety concerns are reported to the Human Resource, Driver Supervisor, Transportation Manager and Safety Department. Ensures the proper training of all assigned dispatchers in the assigned responsibilities.? Ensures all department required forms and documents are completed in a timely basis. Responsible for the management of dispatch accountability as it relates to DOT compliance, operations, equipment usage, company policies and the discipline of the same for the assigned work group.?? Responsible for monitoring and obtaining KPI and Productivity goals as established by the SCM Dispatch Manager and determined by company ownership for the assigned work group.?? Follows all workplace processes and standards in support of the ISO-9001 Quality certification program.? Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises the assigned Transportation Coordinators. Responsibilities include: planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and assisting in disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.? Assists with interviewing, hiring, and training employees.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
Previous experience in a transportation supervisor position required. Must possess strong interpersonal skills.? Must demonstrate good communication skills both written and oral. Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment. Must possess excellent personal computer skills and having working knowledge of a transportation software i.e. : TMW, McCloud, Peoplenet, Rand McNally, PCMiler etc.. and Microsoft Office products software i.e.; Word, Outlook, and Excel. Knowledge of Transportation fleet models; ?Extensive knowledge in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and CTPAT. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Must have ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to communicate effectively using the telephone, Fax, E-mail etc.? Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.? Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY

Job Duties:
Remove the sold product from the salesfloor, wrap and store products for customer delivery, or load product into customer vehicle for customer pickup.
Work in partnership with the Visual Lead and Manager to coordinate prepping the store floor for incoming merchandise.
Repair floor samples
Organize and maintain the warehouse, performing general housekeeping duties, including maintaining cardboard trailer/dumpsters.
Perform building maintenance and simple repairs
Other duties as assigned
