1914

1914: City leaders and the local Medical Society open Waukesha’s first hospital, which has one ward with seven beds.

1930

1930: A new 60-bed, four-story hospital opens at a location just up the hill from the first hospital.

1947

1947: The Waukesha Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) is formed to provide home care services.

1953

1953: Oconomowoc’s first hospital, Lutheran Memorial Hospital, opens.

1994

1994: Waukesha Memorial partners with several physicians to form Waukesha Health Care physician practices.

1998

1998: Waukesha Memorial and Oconomowoc Memorial join together to form ProHealth Care, a full-service health care system.

2004

2004: AngelsGrace Hospice opens in Oconomowoc.

2008

2008: Waukesha Health Care merges with Medical Associates clinics to create ProHealth Care Medical Associates, now known as ProHealth Medical Group.

2015

2015: ProHealth’s Emergency Department opens in Mukwonago.

2017

2017: Multi-phase work begins to enhance and expand surgical space and emergency services, mechanical and facilities operations at Oconomowoc Memorial.

2018

2018: ProHealth opens a new heart and vascular center on the Waukesha Memorial campus.

2019

2019: ProHealth breaks ground on a major project to transform its Mukwonago campus into the community's first hospital.

2022

ProHealth Care offers second COVID-19 booster shots April 13, 2022
