Montgomery, AL 36109 Job Summary The Inventory Specialist is responsible for daily inventory operations, maintaining accurate stock records, and ensuring timely supply distribution. This role updates inventory systems, monitors stock levels, initiates replenishment, and coordinates with warehouse and clinical staff to resolve supply issues. Responsibilities include handling returns and recalls, conducting routine cycle counts and spot checks, troubleshooting discrepancies, and maintaining organized storage areas. Essential Functions and Responsibilities 1. Daily Inventory Monitoring & Data Entry Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date inventory records in the GIP or equivalent automated system. Enter receipts, adjust stock levels, and update reorder points and par levels. Verify all supply deliveries and ensure documentation is complete and correct. 2. Stock Replenishment & Distribution Coordination Monitor on‑hand inventory levels and initiate replenishment actions for expendable supplies and durable medical equipment (DME). Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure timely supply distribution. Respond to urgent or expedited inventory needs and support clinical operations. 3. Customer Service & Stakeholder Coordination Serve as a primary resource for clinical staff regarding stock availability, usage, and substitutions. Resolve discrepancies, backorders, and supply delays by coordinating with vendors and internal departments. Communicate inventory impacts or shortages proactively to stakeholders. 4. Returns, Recalls & Reutilization Process item returns and coordinate with property management regarding disposal or reutilization. Job Description This position involves providing direct in-home intervention for severely emotionally/behaviorally disturbed children and their families. This employee will be a member of a team, which will have a maximum caseload of four to six families for up to twelve weeks for each family. The team will provide ten to twenty hours of weekly direct services to each family. The primary mission of the intervention is to reduce a crisis, institute a therapeutic process and prevent out of home placement of the child. A child isdefined as anyone within the age range of five to seventeen. DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES Responsible for assessing and implementing treatment programs for severely emotionally/behaviorally disturbed children and their families. Responsible for providing direct in-home therapy to four to six families for a twelve-week period. This includes individual and family therapy. Responsible for documenting the clinical charts to include intakes and all therapy sessions. Facilitate in-home therapy sessions and implement the treatment program without direct supervision. Must work closely with Department of Human Resources, Family Court and other agencies in the selection and treatment provided to children and their families during the in-home intervention. Provide transportation to children and families when appropriate. Perform other duties that are assigned by the supervisor. REQUIREMENTS Knowledge of the special needs and behavioral characteristics of severely emotionally/behaviorally disturbed children and their families. Knowledge of psychotherapy principles and techniques. Knowledge of psychotropic medications to include their use and their side effects. Ability to perform individual and family therapy to include behavior modification, RET, parental education and problem solving skills. Ability to provide leadership to the in-home counselor and assist in his/her clinical skills. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with other professionals and other agencies. Ability to organize and manage one's own activities with a minimum of direct supervision. Ability to work flexible hours due to the special needs of children and their families. Participate on a rotating 24-hour on-call roster. Ability to quickly establish rapport with clients. QUALIFICATIONS Graduation from a recognized college or university with a Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology and at least one year of applicable experience. Must have ALC, LPC, LGSW, or LCSW (see note below) Some clinical experience preferred. Degree and experience must meet requirements for Approved Medicaid Provider status. Must hold a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that is acceptable to Carastar's insurance carrier. Must maintain at least liability coverage on personal vehicles.
