The school was founded in 1957 by the Xaverian Brothers.
August 31, 1963 The Xaverian Brothers provincial Brother Gilroy, C.F.X., the first principal, Brother Marcellus, C.F.X., and Cardinal Cushing officiated at the dedication ceremony for the new Xaverian Brothers High School in Westwood.
June 12, 1967 Xaverian’s first Commencement takes place.
March 13, 1978 The J. Geils Band performs a concert at Xaverian.
June 2013 Campus improvements officially begin.
March 2014 "Called to Lead: The Campaign for Xaverian" publicly launches at the 50th Anniversary Gala
September 2017 The Ryken Wing renovations to Counseling, Admissions, and Advancement are revealed as school opens, as well as the renovated Ruth Kennedy Library
July 2019 The Strengthening Minds, Empowering Creativity fundraising initiative allows for a new sound and lighting system to be installed in the theater.
March 2020 Xaverian’s remote education and learning program (REAL/X) was launched on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 in response to the global COVID-19 pandemic.
