Summary
AdjunctInstructors are responsible for the facilitation of student learning and the on-going development of instructional strategies that promote student success. Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Learning Facilitation - Foster student learning by developing appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and support student engagement. Employ learning experiences that integrate multiple delivery methodologies and instructional technologies to maximize student success, such as hybrid, in-person, virtual, and on-line course delivery.
Assessment - Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to help students be successful. Use data to measure quality outcomes related to course success and learning and implement improvement strategies based on the evidence.
Classroom Management - Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student attendance and grade records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and equipment security, and ensure opportunities for student/engagement evaluation.
Team Participation - Support the college by engaging with the department, as well as staying current with internal and external changes and initiatives.
Business & Community Engagement - Build and maintain ongoing relationships with community, industry, and clinical partners. Proactively promote the College and our programs.
Student Success & Support - Serve as an advocate for students and collaborate with Student Services staff to retain students, close achievement gaps, and help all students be successful.
Professional Development - Continually improve knowledge and skills in emerging trends, current occupational practices and teaching through professional development activities, and current employment in the field. Maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements and licensure required to maintain individual and program accreditation.
Curriculum Development - If needed, develop curriculum and instructional materials that are competency-based, current, consistent with employer expectations, and aligned with the college policy on the level of required documentation.
Minimum QualificationsEducation and/or Experience Requirements:
Associate degree or the degree/licensure level at which the adjunctinstructor is teaching at a minimum (Bachelor's degree preferred).
Minimum of at least 4,000 hours occupational experience in a target job for the program being taught. 3-5 years occupational experience preferred.
Experience with Ecology, Wildlife, Water Quality, Fisheries, Surveying, Forestry, Recreational Management, Conservation, or a related Natural Resources field required.
Teaching or training experience is preferred.
Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate quality education programs, including development of relevant curriculum.
Upon hire, must maintain Faculty Quality Assurance System requirements and licensure required by other agencies to maintain individual and program accreditation, if applicable
Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:
Valid Driver's License.
Subject to FVTC's Motor Vehicle Records Check.
Proficiency utilizing learning management system.
Strong verbal communication skills.
Adapt quickly to changing demands, assignments, and circumstances to meet student needs.
Communicate effectively and professionally with various audiences.
Engage in continuous improvement in the quality of instruction by embracing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods.
Monitor student graduation requirements. Serve as an “ambassador for agriculture” in a variety of community activities.

Physical Requirements

The Human Biology Department at the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay is seeking applicants for a 9-month non-tenure-track position with primary responsibility in teaching undergraduate courses. The position will be hired at the Assistant Teaching Professor rank. Qualified candidates will have expertise in Human Physiology, or related areas. Applicants with experience teaching first-year students are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will contribute to an academic unit which is interdisciplinary in nature and has a strong history of preparing students for careers in health professions.
The faculty in Human Biology are engaged in all aspects of student success including students in scholarly activities, advising students, supervising research projects, developing curriculum, interdisciplinary research, serving at all levels of the university, participating in community outreach, and other activities.
This position will be responsible for enhancing UW-Green Bay's mission-driven inclusive teaching efforts and creating and maintaining an educational environment that acknowledges, encourages, and celebrates those with diverse identities, beliefs, and cultural backgrounds.
Key Job Responsibilities:
* Teaching a course load of 27 contact hours per academic year
* Primary teaching responsibility will be to teach upper-level Human Physiology lecture and lab, and lower-level Introduction to Human Biology. Opportunities to create and teach other courses in area of expertise may be explored (for example, Neurobiology, motor learning and performance, etc.).

Conditions of Appointment:

Minimum Qualifications
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Associate degree or the degree/licensure level at which the adjunctinstructor is teaching at a minimum; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of at least 4,000 hours occupational experience in a target job for the program being taught. 3-5 years occupational experience preferred.
If teaching in our Law Enforcement or Jail Recruit Academies, applicants must have at a minimum completed the Department of Justice's Instructor Development course, and possess the proper certifications from the Department of Justice for the Academy topics being taught.
Teaching or training experience is desirable.
Ability to plan, organize, instruct, and facilitate quality education programs, including development of relevant curriculum.
Qualified per FVTC requirements at time of, and throughout employment as an instructor. Must also meet and maintain Higher Learning Commission (HLC) requirements, Faculty Quality Assurance Standards (FQAS), and/or other job specific licensing standards.

Summary
AdjunctInstructors are responsible for the facilitation of student learning and the on-going development of instructional strategies that meets the needs of students and employers and promote student success. This position is primarily for Spanish instruction, but preference will be given to candidates with multiple certifications, such as other languages and cultures, international/intercultural studies, Intensive English Program, and English Language Learning.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.
* Learning Facilitation - Foster student learning by developing appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and support student engagement. Create learning experiences that integrate multiple delivery methodologies and instructional technologies to maximize student success, such as hybrid, in-person, virtual, and on-line course delivery.
* Assessment - Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to help students be successful. Use data to measure quality outcomes related to student persistence, retention, completion rate, course success, and learning and to design improvement strategies based on the evidence.
* Classroom Management - Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student attendance and grade records, maintain instructional environment with emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and equipment security, and ensure opportunities for student/engagement evaluation.
* Team Participation - Support the college by engaging with the division, department, and team members, as well as staying current with internal and external changes and initiatives.
* Business & Community Engagement - Build and maintain ongoing relationships with community, industry, and clinical partners. Proactively promote the College and our programs.
* Student Success & Support - Serve as an advocate for students and collaborate with Student Services staff to retain students, close achievement gaps, and help all students be successful.

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
Instructors who teach General Studies college credit courses must have:
A. A Master's degree in Spanish or related subfield, OR
B. A Master's degree, AND 18 graduate credits in the discipline or subfield they teach, OR
C. A Master's degree, AND appropriate licensure and/or experience in the discipline or subfield they teach.
When evaluating the credentials of faculty who have obtained a Master of Education degree but not a master's degree in a discipline:
* Graduate-level courses in the discipline/subfield and methods courses that are specifically for the teaching of that discipline/subfield may be considered for meeting the 18 graduate credit hour minimum.
Non-US degrees/courses may provide a different scope of practice in other countries. Courses to be reviewed on an individual basis.
