    Job DescriptionDescription: A.T. Still University's Missouri School of Dentistry and Oral Health (ATSU-MOSDOH) is seeking a full-time, exempt Clinical General Dentistry Faculty Assistant Professor DMD on the St. Lous, MO campus. This position reports to the Assistant Dean of Clinical Affairs. The Clinical General Dentistry Faculty Assistant Professor DMD will supervise MOSDOH students in the Comprehensive Care Unit (CCU) to provide care to their patient family. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise students in the comprehensive care unit to provide comprehensive care their patient family. Maintain Standards of Care and ensure continuity of care for all patients in the CCU. Participate in clinic quality assurance and continuous quality improvement measures. Work on the clinic floor 4-5 days per week depending on faculty practice day. Assist the staff, faculty and administration in St. Louis and Kirksville to train adjunct faculty to achieve clinical calibration. Work with the dental assistant(s) and Patient Service Advocates and contribute to performance review evaluations in conjunction with the Assistant Dean, Clinical Affairs. Coordinate with Assistant Dean, Clinical Affairs for staff leave (vacation, medical) and clinic floor coverage. Complete administrative reports as needed and all ATSU required employee training (RET). Track student progress and collaborate with CCU Directors, Specialty Care Directors and with the Vice Dean of Clinical Affairs and Advanced Dental Education on student deficiencies. Assure patient, student, and staff safety and communication. Perform dental procedures on patients as needed. Serve on committees as assigned. Support/participate in an after-hours emergency care program as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean, Clinical Affairs. Requirements: Education & Experience D.D.S/D.M.D. At least five years experience in a dental teaching environment. At least five years experience in private practice where dentistry is performed. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Must be able to be self-directed and take the initiative. Must be highly skilled in general dentistry.
