Does ABC Warehouse drug test?

According to ABC Warehouse's Drug and Alcohol Policy: "the company has a vital interest in providing safe and healthy working conditions for its employees, and in maintaining high standards of efficiency. It is, therefore, committed to maintaining a workplace free from the influence of illegal drugs and alcohol.

ABC Warehouse at any time can conduct inspections of the property and personal effects of employees at any time. This includes, but is not limited to property contained in desks, lockers, vehicles, purses, briefcases, packages, lunch boxes, and clothing. If an employee's consent to such inspection is requested, a refusal to consent will be a violation of this policy.

Any employee may be required to submit a urine and/or blood sample for testing for illegal drugs or alcohol if they are suspicious that an employee is under the influence based on the way that they are behaving, when tipped off by a credible source that an employee is under the influence while at work, and in the case of a workplace accident, which contributed to substantial injury to person or property.

Violation of the Drug and Alcohol Policy may result in severe disciplinary action, including discharge for a first offense, at the company's sole discretion. In addition, the company may, in its sole discretion, refer such an employee to a treatment and counseling program for alcohol or drug use."

Tobacco and vaping products are allowed outside of the building in the designated smoking area.
