Does Alphabet drug test?
No, Alphabet does not drug test. Above all else, Alphabet values talent and cares more about the quality of your work performance than it does about what you do during your time off.
Alphabet considers requiring drug tests to be disrespectful to potential talent who have proven their excellence in their careers. There is nothing in their code of conduct that explicitly mentions drug use or testing.
However, Alphabet does have a policy against misconduct, abusive conduct, and retaliation. If an employee is taking illegal drugs and unprescribed medication and it is adversely affecting the workplace, then they are breaking the code of conduct and may be terminated.
