How do I start to become a plumber?
To start to become a plumber, you will need to go to trade school, gain work experience, and pass an exam. In most cases, you need to take some required courses, gain work experience, and pass a test to get a plumbing license.
Many schools and community colleges offer vocational training programs in plumbing. Most of these programs last one to two years and are a great way to learn the foundations of plumbing before landing your first entry-level job.
From there, you can work toward a state license. Requirements vary by state.
