How do you list artistic skills on a resume?

By Zippia Team - Feb. 10, 2022

You can list artistic skills in multiple sections of a resume. Traditional resume sections such as the professional summary and work experience are where an artist's skills may appear. Sections unique to an artistic resume, such as a bibliography and exhibits, are designed to focus on an artist's work and skills.

Within the professional summary section of the resume is a good place to list artistic skills. This three or four-sentence section will immediately introduce employers to both the area of art as well as any unique skills within that area of artistic focus.

Within the job experience section of the resume, candidates should include bullet points that specify their role and any skills necessary for the position that they held.

Artistic resumes often include both a bibliography and exhibit sections. A bibliography section will include publications that have featured an artist's work as well as reviews. The exhibits section chronicles when and where an artist's work has appeared. Both of these sections speak to a candidate's artistic skills.
