How hard is it to become a realtor in Florida?
It is not difficult to become a realtor in Florida if you are willing to put in the time and effort required. To become a realtor in Florida, you must first pass the Florida real estate licensing exam. On average, it takes about two to five months to do all the work involved in attaining this license, as there are a few things necessary to complete before taking the exam.
Everyone interested in obtaining a Florida real estate license must first complete a mandatory 63-hour pre-license course. This course will help prepare you for passing your exam, as well as help to give you the skills necessary to succeed once you are a practicing realtor. After completion, you will then need to take and pass the course exam itself.
Once you have passed the course exam, you will need to pass the Florida State Licensing Exam. To be allowed to take the exam, you must first submit an application that shows you have completed the required pre-license course and passed the course exam. You must also obtain a record of your fingerprints and submit it with the application.
Once you have submitted the application and it is approved, you may take the Florida State Licensing exam, which includes both state and national portions. Once you pass, you are legally allowed to work as a realtor in Florida and should then look into finding a brokerage that fits your vision for your career path.
