How many hours do artists work?
Artists work for a wide range of different amounts of hours, this depends on several specific factors, such as their expertise, level of experience, skills, and needs of the particular projects they work on.
However, in general terms, many artists work longer than the traditional workday, often devoting as much as eight to 10 hours working on an art piece or project. This tends to be the case because many forms of art require intense concentration, trial-and-error methods, and strong attention to detail.
Though it is also fairly common for an artist that works on a freelance basis to dictate their work schedule to a great degree. Many don't have to go into an office and get to either work from home or their art studio. This essentially means they work at whatever time and for as much or as little time as they choose.
Some artists work more traditional jobs when working full-time at a company or being contracted by a particular client. This might see an artist working for 8 hours per day, and at around 40 hours or slightly more per week.
It is important to note that many artists do not mind working long hours because they are doing a job that they are truly passionate about.
