How many vacation days do you get at Facebook?

By Kate Swindlehurst - Jun. 13, 2023

Facebook employees get 15-30 vacation days per year, on average. As the average for a position in the United States is 10 PTO days, employees at Facebook get almost double this. This is equal to three to four work weeks. A variety of factors may affect whether an employee gets the lower or higher end of this range.

The biggest factor that affects how many vacation days Facebook employees get is the time they have worked at the company. Seniority affects vacation days at Facebook. When an employee first begins working there, they get 15 days. After 3 years, this becomes 20 days per year. After that, an employee's PTO can increase to 25 or even 30 days.

Other factors that affect how many vacation days a Facebook employee gets are the exact position they have and their negotiating power. Some positions, typically higher up in the company, offer more vacation time than others. Similarly, when negotiating contracts and pay, some people are better at negotiating more vacation days.
