How much commission does a realtor make in Florida?

By Zippia Team - Oct. 25, 2022

In general, a realtor in Florida will make between 5 and 6% of the home's price. This includes both the buyer agent commission and the listing agent. If a home sells for $300,000 at closing the agent fee is 5%, they would collect $15,000 at closing.

Some real estate agents may be able to justify charging a higher fee for their services (between 6 and 7% of the closing price); however, this is becoming less and less common and typically only occurs with very high-end homes or large estates. Low-commission real estate agents are growing in popularity, too.

With these agents, you can find options listing homes for as low as 1%.
