You need a bachelor's degree in meteorology to be a weatherman. A bachelor's degree in atmospheric science or climatology is also acceptable. This is the minimum requirement, and many aspiring weathermen also go for their master's in meteorology.

While obtaining your bachelor's or master's, it is also recommended to take as many courses as you can on the following subjects:
