What education is required to be a manufacturing engineer?
A bachelor's degree is the educational requirement to become a manufacturing engineer. Students who wish to become manufacturing engineers typically pursue degrees in manufacturing engineering or related engineering fields of study.
To be a more competitive candidate, especially for research or leadership positions, a master's or doctoral degree can be helpful. Obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and an undergraduate engineering degree is a typical career path if an engineer is interested in corporate leadership.
