What is Preventive Maintenance?

Preventative Maintenance also referred to as PM is the process of maintenance of any equipment or asset to ensure their smooth running and protection from any sudden failure. When a piece of equipment faces any damage, the process of a business is halted which results in downtime. Therefore, PM prompts organizations to take steps in advance to avoid this frustrating occurrence in business. Many companies have multiple pieces of equipment which makes it difficult for them to maintain PM for all of them. There is software that is used by companies to organize regular maintenance of all the assets and equipment.
