This question is about data and reporting analyst resumes.
A data analyst should put the skills and qualifications that highlight their technical expertise, knowledge of data and statistics, and the ability to communicate and report on their findings on a resume. Since any good data analyst understands the importance of looking at the numbers and telling a story, your resume should do just that.
We recommend starting with a profile summary covering who you are as a candidate, your focus, and either your greatest achievement or career goal. For example, "Process-oriented data analyst with five years of experience. Experienced in interpreting and analyzing data to drive growth in the medical sector. Reduced operating costs by 22%."
For the experience section, you'll need to include three to six bullets per job listed. We recommend starting with an action verb such as discovered, investigated, analyzed, or utilized. When possible, include hard data to support your statement. For example, "Spearheaded in-depth analysis of stockroom operations that led to a 14% decrease in operating costs."
Additional sections to include in your data analyst resume:
Skills
Certifications
Software or licenses.
Publications
Conferences
