Uber Technologies Inc. owns Drizly. Drizly became a wholly owned subsidiary of Uber. Uber seeks to integrate Drizly's alcohol on-demand service into the Uber Eats mobile application.

Drizly was founded by Nick Rellas, Spencer Frazier, and Justin Robinson in 2012, when they launched the company's mobile application service in Boston. Quickly they expanded Drizly to New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago.

In 2015, Drizly raised a $13 million Series A round from Polaris Partners, Suffolk Equity Partners, Cava Capital, Fairhaven Capital Partners, and First Beverage Group.
