Who owns Opendoor?
Eric Wu owns Opendoor. Wu is the co-founder and CEO of the company. Along with fellow co-founder Keith Rabois, the company was started in 2014 when they secured $9.95 million in venture capitalist funding from Khosla Ventures. And in 2018, Opendoor raised $400 million in funding from the SoftBank Group Vision Fund.
Then in 2019, the company raised an additional $300 million in funding, led by General Atlantic. That same year Opendoor launched mortgage services through Opendoor Home Loans, an internal mortgage business.
The company is publicly traded on NASDAQ as OPEN. In 2021, Opendoor had annual revenue of $8.02 billion with 2,816 employees working at the company.
