Job Summary
The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, is seeking an assistant professor to join our Master of Science and Entry-Level Doctorate Occupational Therapy Programs that includes expanding programs, state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, engaging diverse perspectives in occupational therapy, and community partnerships through experientials with interprofessional education. The position is available immediately with a preferred January 2026 targeted start date. This is a full-time, 11-month core faculty position.
Key responsibilities: Responsibilities include teaching within the occupational therapy curriculum; advising to meet diverse student needs; assisting in recruitment and admission activities; engaging in scholarly activity relevant to areas of interest and/or expertise that contributes to the Department scholarly agenda; and attending Department, School and College events and performing service through committee assignments at the Department, School and College level. Required Qualifications
Minimum requirement is an entry-level occupational therapy doctorate degree or post-professional or research doctorate (e.g. OTD, PhD, EdD, ScD)

Job Summary:
The College of St. Scholastica seeks qualified candidates to serve as Dignitas faculty during the 2025-2026 academic year. Reporting to the Associate Director of General Education, Dignitas faculty will be responsible for teaching in the first-year seminar, which encompasses a sequence of two 4-credit special-topics courses, during fall and spring semester, and will serve as an academic advisor for the approximately 25 students in the section.
Dignitas mission and format:
Dignitas is the mechanism by which the College supports students in their transition to the College, creating a common intellectual experience using the lens of dignity, diversity, and our Catholic, Benedictine heritage. The two-semester sequence places students with a consistent faculty member, peer mentor, and a small group of peers to encourage engagement and development of a sense of community. The first semester of the program focuses on "the responsible self" and the second semester on "dignity for all." Dignitas faculty are supported in their work with curriculum modules on vocation and calling. Faculty members customize each section with a topic of their choice that is developed in the context of human dignity, responsible living, and meaningful work. Advising activities will be supported by Student Affairs staff and by an advising model that specifies individualized meetings with each student per term, with the faculty member serving as a coach who assists students to make a successful transition to the College and connects them to resources as needed. Each section is also staffed by a mentor teaching assistant, a successful student who is available approximately five hours per week to help connect new students with the College and assist the faculty member.

The CSS Physical Therapy Department is looking to increase the number of adjunct faculty in our Patient-Client Management courses. Adjunct faculty selected for this position will provide clinical instruction to DPT students managing patients in the pro bono clinics. Adjunct faculty will provide mentoring to students, ensure safety, and assess student performance related to patient management and professional behavior.
Required Qualifications:
Must be a licensed PT in the state of Minnesota. The preferred faculty will have excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills. They will be responsible for observing, assessing, educating and guiding student evaluations and treatments. Patience and flexibility are required. The successful candidate will have demonstrated multicultural competency and experience interacting effectively with diverse constituents.
