Monitor attractions continuously during operation, ensuring proper control and guest safety.

Report any emergency matters to the supervisor or manager on duty without delay.

Maintain a positive guest experience for terrain park users. Act as an ambassador to the public by setting good examples of terrain park etiquette on the mountain.
Keep track of and maintain tools and equipment (rakes, shovels, drills, radios etc.)
Inspect and test features in the terrain park to ensure all features are free of damage, and to determine when snow maintenance is required
Close features as needed when conditions or other circumstances do not allow them to be ridden safely
Help in spotting/reporting any injuries in the terrain park to ski patrol

Skills and Competencies
Intermediate to advanced ability to safely ski or snowboard in adverse conditions and on steep terrain, including freestyle terrain.
Manual dexterity to operate hand tools such as rakes, shovels, and basic carpentry tools.

Work Schedules
Weather, snow conditions and the number of guests play a large role in the work scheduling of Bear Valley employees.
When conditions are normal, you may be expected to work 40 up to 48 hours per week, including weekends and holidays. During busy periods - especially the holiday periods in December and the months of January and February - you may be expected to work six (6) days a week.
You must arrange for transportation to work so that you arrive at your designated workstation at the scheduled time. Keep in mind that you will often be required to drive on hilly, snowpacked, and icy road.
Working Conditions
At any time during the ski season, Bear Valley employees are often required to perform their tasks in high winds, heavy snowfalls, low visibility, rain, and extremely cold or warm temperatures.
Uniforms
A professional appearance at Bear Valley is required. Please wear your name tag and uniform at all times during your scheduled shift. We will provide most of the uniform for you to do your job. This uniform is for work hours ONLY, no exceptions.

Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required unless waived by Human Resources Management. Six (6) months work experience in Food & Beverage preferred.
