Under direction of the Program Manager this position is responsible for processing and distributing donations. Maintains workspace in an organized and clean manner to ensure the safety and security of program participants and the facility. Working with other staff members, this individual conducts screenings, intakes, orientations and discharges during participants stay in shelter. This individual observes and helps program participants with basic needs; assists in conflict resolution and crisis intervention; monitors and supports participants with their case plans; addresses, documents, and reports all participant performance; and performs a variety of other duties to assist participants while in shelter.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides quality customer service in a timely and courteous manner to all donors.
Responsible for accepting or rejecting donations according to the guidelines.
Responsible for placing clothing orders from Goodwill Store.
Responsible for entering inventory into excel spreadsheet for monthly reports.
Sort donations in designated areas.
Adhere to principles of workstation organization.
Loads/unloads donated good safely and effectively.
Provides the proper attention to site appearance and cleanliness.
Keep management informed of program needs.
Gather information from clients either in person or by telephone to determine their needs and eligibility for assistance.
Conduct intake process and prepare intake records for participants accepted for assistance
Document any pertinent information in participant files.
Monitor on-site participant's observance of program rules. Document rule violations and write incident reports when applicable.
De-escalate crisis and respond to crisis situations in a calm manner.
Comprehend and adhere to ethical standards and confidentiality laws.
Prepare monthly reports as directed.
Attend trainings and meetings as directed.
Other Duties/Responsibilities
Establish and maintain positive relations with the general public, funding agency, participants and other staff.
Ensures compliance with all Goodwill Industries Sacramento Valley Northern Nevada and Next Move policies, CARF standards, and safety and security regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Work directly with the Community Center Coordinator on essential office duties (i.e phone call, out-going mail, and correspondences, including e-mail and faxes, copying, typing, spreadsheets, mailing, etc.).
Ensuring that all children that come in for the tutoring program are signed-in/out.
Ensuring that all volunteer packets are filled out and training has been completed.
Process child enrollment applications and paperwork for children in the Community Center programs. accept and process program fees using the kiosk and billing families for Community Center programs.
Maintain the inventory of all snack bar. Securely maintain all unsold inventory.
Manages inventory and prepares requisitions for ordering supplies as needed.
Maintain the office area in a clean, organized, and presentable manner.
Helps to oversee program-related functions of the Community Center to ensure adherence to The Salvation Army's policies and procedures.
Request, issue, and monitor the return of athletic equipment and recreation games: check equipment for proper care and use.

All employees are expected to follow the Tribal Employee Handbook of the Pala Band of Mission Indians and must adhere to any additional applicable addendums.
If employed by the Pala Band of Mission Indians the new hire is required to obtain a First Aid certification, and CPR certification within 90 days of their hire date.
