DESCRIPTION
Hutco, Inc. is currently seeking experienced Sheet Metal Workers to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. This role involves the installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, shipboard furniture, and general sheet metal fabrication. Candidates with marine experience are preferred; however, experience in aircraft, industrial, or commercial sheet metal work is also acceptable.
REQUIREMENTS
Experience & Skills:
Blueprint Reading: Ability to read and interpret complex ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches, including weld symbols, material types, and datum/reference lines.
Measurement Proficiency: Competency in understanding fractional and decimal dimensions with a ruler.
Fabrication & Assembly: Skilled in laying out, fabricating, and assembling sheet metal parts per specifications.
Physical Demand: Experience working in physically demanding environments.
Tool Proficiency: Familiarity with hand tools (electric drills, grinders, rivet guns) and shop equipment (drill press, press brake, shears).
OSHA Compliance: Knowledge of OSHA regulations as they apply to the shipbuilding industry.
Optional Skills:
Rigger/Material Handling experience.
Familiarity with Mobile Equipment (e.g., JLG, Scissor Lift).
Additional Requirements:

Operates appropriate cell salvage equipment while following current AABB guidelines. Operates blood infusion device at the request of attending surgeon or anesthesiologist in concordance with department policy.
Blood Product Transfusion
On the order of the attending physician, must be able to appropriately check blood products with a 2nd qualified clinician and safely administer. Must be able to obtain blood products from the blood bank or blood gas lab.

The Department of Medicine has developed a Comprehensive Sickle Cell Program in collaboration with the Departments of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Psychiatry. This program is supported by EVMS and Sentara Health. The goal of this program is to provide top-notch outpatient and inpatient clinical care to patients with sickle cell disease. We are looking for Advanced Practice Providers (APP), a nurse practitioner (NP) or a physician assistant (PA), who will function as a clinical provider in the Division of General Internal Medicine, Department of Medicine. The APP will participate in all aspects of patient care and will participate in the supporting roles of consultant and educator as indicated. The clinical practice will mostly focus on clinical care of patients with Sickle Cell Disease in the hospital and in the outpatient clinic under supervision of clinical faculty. The clinical practice may also include provision of primary care to all types of patients.
Responsibilities
Independently assess, diagnose, & develop treatment plans for patients with sickle cell disease as well as patients in the area of Primary Care in accordance with protocols and standards of care.
Promote a schedule of health promotion examinations and interventions in our patient population
Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and prescribe, dispense or deliver medications under a collaborative practice agreement.
Differentiate between normal and abnormal findings and orders appropriate diagnostic studies.

Responsibilities
