Receives and transcribes physician order to patient charts. Accurately records the administration of medication for patients as prescribed by the physicians in accordance with established policies and procedures. Provides and promotes patients' rights during the administration of medication. Observe, monitor and records symptoms and conditions of the patients with substance abuse that could be related to medication interactions, adverse drug interactions or medication side- affects. Routinely inspect, clean and monitor equipment and supplies to ensure patient safety. Reports any equipment or supply issues to management for correction or repair. Demonstrate awareness of proper infection control practice by using Universal Precautions and following policies and procedures of the Company, including OSHA's Blood-borne Pathogen Standard and PPE standards. Utilize EMR medical charting system to record medication information, vital signs, and communicate with clinical staff. Participate in report and shift change. Record relevant information in the Nurse's Pass Down Log (PDL). Complete nursing assessments. Obtain patient's history on admission to facility per COMAR. Maintains compliance with applicable State Regulations.
