Oversee sterilization and related procedures and documentation for infection control
Send medical clearance requests per doctors' requests and keep log of when we receive responses. Contact patients and confirm understanding of clearance and clearly document the clearance instructions in the patient chart so scheduler will know to confirm patient compliance
Send biopsy specimens to Oral Surgery Pathology Lab and confirm receipt of report from lab and chart accordingly.
Reviews charts and alerts staff and doctors of positive history
Starts, maintains, and discontinues IV's
Recovers and dismisses patients
Monitors patient pre, intra, and post-op for complications
Performs charting and checks charts for completion
Read EKG strips
Draws blood
PRP procedure
Maintain defibrillator and emergency medications and equipment and oversee regular emergency training drills for back staff
Calls patients pre- and post-op as needed; patient phone calls taken as needed
Field all prescription requests
Performs patient glucose tests and maintains monitors
BLS/ACLS/PALS
Willing to take the DAANCE Certification

Qualifications
Education:

ResponsibilitiesThe following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or allinclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Adhere to all facility policies and procedures.
Provide appropriate nursing services and education to clients/patients.
Observe, record, and reports to the appropriate person any symptoms, reactions and changes in a client's condition.
Chart nursing notes in an informative and descriptive manner reflecting the care provided and the response to that care.
Assess and monitor patients with substance abuse history.
Perform initial, routine and emergency medical and mental health assessments.
Obtains blood specimens by performing venipunctures
Perform intake admissions for patients to include vitals, strip searching and nursing assessment.
Obtain, records and reports vital signs as indicated during the administration of medications and takes appropriate action for abnormal results.
Receives and transcribes physician order to patient charts.
Accurately records the administration of medication for patients as prescribed by the physicians in accordance with established policies and procedures. Provides and promotes patients' rights during the administration of medication.
Observe, monitor and records symptoms and conditions of the patients with substance abuse that could be related to medication interactions, adverse drug interactions or medication side- affects.
Routinely inspect, clean and monitor equipment and supplies to ensure patient safety.
Reports any equipment or supply issues to management for correction or repair.
Demonstrate awareness of proper infection control practice by using Universal Precautions and following policies and procedures of the Company, including OSHA's Blood-borne Pathogen Standard and PPE standards.
Utilize EMR medical charting system to record medication information, vital signs, and communicate with clinical staff.
Participate in report and shift change. Record relevant information in the Nurse's Pass Down
Log (PDL).
Complete nursing assessments.
Obtain patient's history on admission to facility per COMAR.
Maintains compliance with applicable State Regulations.
Routinely reads and responds to e-mails

Position Summary:
Provides overall management and direction for the assigned Plan's health services and medical management activities to meet organizational goals. Assumes responsibility for the clinical administrative aspects of utilization review and case management. Integrates medical management processes with all departments within the Plan with a focus on ongoing communication. Required:
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, health care or business-related field
