Responsibilities
Assess students reporting pain or illness and determine need for sick bed.
Accompany students to clinics or hospitals as needed; communicate findings to parents and Clinical Director.
Take and record vital signs and weights as assigned.
Administer medications accurately and document in the Medication Administration Record (MAR).
Count and track narcotics during each shift.
Monitor and chart student mood, behavior, and affect-especially when starting new medications.
Share relevant medical updates with the Treatment Team and Psychiatrist.
Support night staff in student care as needed.
Qualifications

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Nurse Corps Officers may serve at any one of more than 250 Navy and medical facilities around the globe, from Hawaii to Japan, Germany to Guam and Washington, D.C., to Washington state.
