What You'll Be Doing: Assisting the plating engineer/technician in daily operations, as well as related tests to ensure we produce high quality coating and plating on magnet products. Assisting in reporting maintenance issues to the manager/technician in detail for work orders to be submitted, as well as recording and reporting of data daily Performing visual inspections of coated parts, sending them to QC to check plating thickness, and product quality. We are looking for someone who: Has 0-2 years' experience and basic understanding of pretreatment and wet processes for coating and plating. Knows how to use overhead hoists, fork trucks, hand tools, and rectifiers. Possesses knowledge of safe methods of handling materials and chemicals always using the proper PPE. Is comfortable with measurement equipment such as thermometers, pH meters, and measuring scopes/microscopes. Preferably has experience with wet processes for coating/plating Zn, phosphate, Ni/Cu and epoxy. Additionally: Must be willing to learn and conduct chemical titrations on the plating baths without supervision and as instructed by the engineer(manager). Can follow written, verbal instructions, and work independently with minimum supervision from managers and/or peers. Physical Requirements: Must be able to pass a drug screening, medical physical and, if applicable, visual testing. Able to move up to 50lbs. Possesses manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately. Can wear PPE such as N-95 masks, half face respirators, face shields, aprons, and FR coveralls. Education Center Operator The Education Center Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of each Head Start center. We use our own locomotives and employees to safely move railcars within industrial, manufacturing and production plants. The Role: This position is responsible for operating electric, diesel-electric, or gas-turbine-electric locomotives; interpreting train orders, signals, and rules and regulations; transporting freight; timely and correct switching and placement of rail cars. What you'd be doing: * Inspects locomotive before operating to verify specified fuel, sand, water, and other supplies. * Receives starting signal from foreman or helper and moves controls, such as throttle and airbrakes, to move locomotive. * Interprets train orders, train signals, and rules and regulations to operate locomotive, following safety regulations, operating procedures, and switching schedule. * Assists crew leader in training new employees. * Observes track to detect obstructions. * Prepares reports to explain accidents, unscheduled stops, or delays. * Lubricates moving parts of locomotive. * Handle train equipment in a safe manner using independent or automatic brakes. * Operation of hand or ground throw switches, derails, gates, etc. * Control movement of equipment by radio, hands, and lantern. * Apply and release hand brakes to secure or move equipment. * Handling air hoses, wheel chocks, coupling and uncoupling of rail cars. * Must wear required personal protective equipment. * Other duties as assigned.
