ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
In-depth knowledge of construction job-site management.
Considerable knowledge of the construction industry and safety practices.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
Displays strong written and oral communication skills and employs effective listening skills.
Analyzes problems and makes sound decisions in a timely manner based on objectives, risks, implications, and costs.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Four-year college degree in constructionmanagement, engineering, or related field
Minimum two years of successful construction/project management experience.
Experience in estimating, scheduling, quality control, and problem-solving.
Experience with Procore is preferred, but not required.
OSHA 30 preferred, but not required
Current CPR/First-Aid certification or ability to obtain it within the first 6 months of employment
LEED accreditation preferred, but not required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Physical abilities representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Job Description:
The Assistant Superintendent (Assistant Supt.) supports managing work flow consistent with the project schedule, communicates project priorities to field staff and subcontractors, maintains daily log/report of all activities and site conditions, and manages the punch list and closeout process through owner/architect acceptance. Responsibilities

* Maintain HITT quality standards for all aspects of the project
* Maintain good working relationship with all subcontractors on the project, develop relationships within the community that enhances business opportunities, and ensure subcontractors are treated fairly.
* Ensure complete, accurate daily documentation of work orders/tickets, understand subcontractor scope of work to avoid unnecessary change orders, and identify problems early and act immediately to provide solutions.

Qualifications
* High school diploma required, four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferred.

* Tenant renovations, service work, work in occupied spaces, weekend work, fast paced project experience all a plus
* Project lead experience a plus
* Ability to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam,
* OSHA 30 Certification preferred
* Ability to walk and/or stand for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to 50lbs

· Willing to travel a minimum of 14 weeks at a time across the U.S or as determined by the Project Manager.
