Assisting the Superintendent in managing subordinate staff, overseeing the quality of construction, and ensuring safety on the job site.
Proactively looks for any issues that could impede progress and takes responsibility for solving them.

What are the role requirements?
Candidates must have extensive experience with 3-story, wood frame and/or non-com construction, hospitality level finishes, and multi-family facilities. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in the construction industry.
Ability to effectively and professionally communicate with a diverse group of individuals.
Ability to review and interpret the plans, specifications and contracts as they relate to each individual trade involved in the construction of the project.
Comprehending the means and methods of construction associated with 3-story, wood frame and/or non-com construction, along with the proper function and fitness of purpose of the final product.
Knowledge of and ability to follow and enforce all OSHA guidelines.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Must have a solid work ethic, ability to work independently, and a desire to be in a leadership position.
Must be willing to work occasional Saturdays (as needed).

Title: Site Superintendent
Location: Arlington Heights corporate office (occasionally) and 626 Wabash job site location (mostly)
Interview: 1 potentially 2 Teams interviews depending on hiring manager availability!
Duration: 6 month contract to permanent hire
W2 contract
Eligible for benefits during contract period
Paid x1.5 for any overtime
Pay Rate: $40-55/hr with potential flexibility
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Will be onsite at a construction jobsite which includes both new construction and pre-existing construction projects within the Chicago loop (high-rise projects). Will be with the customer Monday-Friday onsite at the high-rose jobsite, and will manage the jobsite and push projects to completion. Will keep the Project Manager in the loop on updates and help manage subcontractors and timelines. Will manage the schedule and be the eyes and ears of the MEP project.
MUST HAVES:
Experience managing subcontractors in the electrical and/or mechanical space (MEP preferred), low voltage
MEP project/low voltage experience
High rise project experience
Comfortable being onsite with the customer
Experience managing a schedule
Experience managing a project of over 1 million dollars or higher
