Prior to joining Providence in 2013, Mr. Hoenigsberg was CEO of Decision Resources Group, a successful Providence investment sold to the Piramal Group in June 2012. Mr. Hoenigsberg has been a leader in the publishing industry for 25 years, and has held various senior executive positions with the Thomson Corporation, Harcourt, and Addison-Wesley / Pearson. Prior to joining Decision Resources Group, he was an operating partner with private equity firm Castanea Partners, and also served as president and CEO of Harcourt’s largest and most profitable division, the Worldwide Scientific, Technical and Medical Group. Before that, Mr. Hoenigsberg served at the Thomson Corporation where he ran the International and Media Group for ITP (now Cengage / Thomson Learning). Educated in South Africa and the United Kingdom, Mr. Hoenigsberg is a past member of the executive board of the International Association of Scientific, Technical and Medical Publishers, the executive committee of the International Division of the American Publishers Association and the executive council of the British Publishers Association.
