Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is currently seeking a Hardware Engineering Manager to join the T-7A Red Hawk team located in Berkeley, MO. The T-7A Red Hawk Advanced Pilot Training Program requires a Mission Systems Manager to lead a team of engineers responsible for the development and qualifications of displays, mission computing, communications, navigation, surveillance, and datalink equipment. The T-7A Mission Systems are comprised of new development and off-the-shelf equipment integrated in an advanced laboratory and verified in flight test. The manager in this role will guide day-to-day activities for a team responsible for engineering design, development, supplier technical oversight, and test activities for the Development program and lead the team in closing out verification efforts and into the start of Production. The Mission Systems Hardware development activities include system and subsystem requirements decomposition, qualification test, laboratory and aircraft integration, formal verification test, and production support. In this role, the manager will have responsibility for cost, schedule, and technical performance for development and production execution. Position Responsibilities: • Ensures the team delivers safe and high-quality products within cost and schedule. • Provides technical, programmatic, and process leadership to team members. • Leads, develops, and mentors employees. • Monitors team and supplier performance to ensure proper system integration and requirements compliance. • Coordinates with program management, suppliers, customers, and other Boeing teams. • Supports Best Practices (e.g. Model Based Design, Peer Reviews, Technical Lead Engineers, etc.).
