Georgia Soccer company history timeline

1979

In 1979, a newly formed team called Datagraphic won the National Amateur Cup by beating the San Francisco Glens in front of a home crowd at Atlanta's Fulton County Stadium.

1996

The Georgia Soccer Development Foundation (or GSDF), who owns and operates the Georgia Soccer Park, was founded in 1996 with the goal to contribute to the development of soccer fields statewide and to build a new top quality complex that would be the hub of soccer in Georgia.

1998

In 1998, the concept of the Georgia Soccer Park started to become a reality as the first 35.73 acre parcel of land was acquired off of Camp Creek Parkway, just one mile outside of I-285.

2000

In the spring of 2000 the over-30 team made it to the finals of the Over 30 National Amateur Cup, losing out to a team from Eastern Pennsylvania.
