This is a six bed critical care unit that, related to COVID, has been primarily a COVID critical care often housing multiple acutely intubated patients or patients requiring non-invasive ventilators. The CCU is managed by 24-hour in-house Hospitalist coverage with no specialties in-house. Most specialty-requiring admissions are transferred to higher level facilities.
