Position Overview The Asphalt Plant Maintenance Manager-in-Training (MIT) role is designed to develop the skills and expertise necessary to manage the maintenance operations of asphalt plants throughout the Northwest division. This individual will work closely with experienced maintenance forepersons and plant personnel to gain hands on experience in maintaining plant equipment, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimizing plant operations. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions) The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Partner with experienced maintenance forepersons to understand workflows, equipment operations and maintenance procedures. Assist with inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing plant equipment at various sites. This includes having the ability to weld, fabricate and perform electrical repairs as required. Perform routine preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the plant operates efficiently and meets production goals. Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and optimize production processes. Ability to detect safety hazards and/or malfunctions and respond accordingly.
