Purpose: The Latitude Host/Hostess is on the forefront of Resident interaction with the dining program for the community. The Host/Hostess will serve as front of house, and back of house operations. Serve as a Food Runner in the following areas as needed: * Run the food out to the correct tables in a timely manner. * Supports wait staff/bartender by assisting them with delivery of food and retrieval of any additional items the Resident may require. * Maintains a clean and sanitary work station * Must be able to communicate clearly with kitchen staff. * Other duties as assigned by F&B Manager. Duties & Responsibilities: Greet guests, find out their needs, # in party & any special requests. When possible, open the front door for guests entering or leaving the restaurant. When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in party & provide an estimated wait time. Inform guests when tables become available. Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server s name. Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness. Relay messages to servers and bus persons as needed. Communicate with the culinary team Always inform expo when large parties are seated. Inform back-of-the-house when we you take a reservation for a large party. Answer the telephone (within 3 rings), use scripted greeting Take, place, assemble and distribute to-go orders. Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return. Qualifications: Although preferred, no previous experience required. Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time. Be able to communicate clearly and effectively in the predominant language(s) of our guests. Be able to multi- task effectively. Must be outgoing and confident and have the ability to apply gentle assertiveness when necessary. Must be able to handle counting a cash drawer, handle taking cash and making change. Be able to ring in orders correctly, and assemble to-go orders properly to ensure Guest satisfaction. Take Out Service from the Host Stand Get your cash drawer from the cash office, count it and initial the calculator slip, then place in drawer. Once you leave the office, that drawer and the cash contents are completely your responsibility. Always be polite to the guest and be sure to get correct order and information. There should always be a smile in your voice and on your face. You should always be aware of kitchen ticket times. Ask the guest if they are picking up right away (+ or 15/20 minutes) or do they wish to pick up at a specific time? Take the order down on a take-out pad, write legibly and concisely. Ask for desired cook temperatures (medium, medium-well, well) on steaks, hamburgers and/or where ever else it is appropriate. Remind the Guest that all salads to-go are served with dressing on the side, this is done to keep the salad as crisp and fresh as possible. Read the order back to the Guest at the end to confirm you have heard and written everything correctly. Always ask if they would like any added sides, desserts or soft drinks with the order. Ask if they require utensils, napkins, and/or condiments with their order. Quote a time for the order to be picked up. Enter the order into the Aloha POS System. Open a new check and enter the Guests LAST name. Check to make sure the order is correct before sending the order to the kitchen. Let the guest know what the total check comes to if they are waiting for a total. Explain to the Guest that they will come directly to the Host stand to pick-up their order and then thank them and let them know you look forward to seeing them when they pick up. The order will either come to the host stand via a food runner, or you will have to pick it up from the kitchen. Check the order to make sure everything the guest requested is in the bag. Attach copy of check and the hand-written take out order sheet to the bag. Make sure to add napkins, utensils (if asked for), condiments, and a take-out menu to the bag. When the guest arrives, greet them warmly, and read what was is in the order. Ask if they need anything else, and ring the payment into the POS System. Present the bag to the guest, have someone help them to their car if necessary and thank them for coming to the Ace Cafe. At end of shift follow bar cash-out procedures and bring drawer to office after a manager runs your report.

The Bartender is responsible for ensuring that every guest who dines or visits the bar at The Cake Bake Shop experiences “a magical and one-of-a-kind experience” that reflects our brand's elevated standards. Bartenders must maintain expert-level knowledge of all beverages, ingredients, recipes, allergens, and presentation expectations. Bartenders provide polished service to bar-top guests while efficiently executing all service-well orders for the dining room. Bartender Responsibilities - Tip-Producing Tasks Warmly greet all bar guests and provide a refined, exceptionally polished guest experience. Take and enter beverage and food orders into the POS system accurately and efficiently. Prepare and serve all alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to Cake Bake Shop recipes and standards. Engage guests using brand-appropriate, elevated language and polished communication. Perform suggestive selling, offer beverage pairings, and make knowledgeable product recommendations. Monitor bar-top guests, anticipate needs, and respond to requests promptly. Deliver bar food items, desserts, and beverages with correct presentation and timing. Maintain awareness of allergen and dietary accommodations for all guests. Manage bar tabs, process payments, provide receipts, and thank guests for visiting. Ensure bartop cleanliness, polished bar tools, and professional appearance at all times. Communicate guest concerns, product shortages, or service issues to management immediately. Uphold all Steps of Service: greeting, timing, presentation, glitter, celebrations, and retail engagement when applicable. Sidework Responsibilities - Tip-Supporting Tasks Tip-supporting work is secondary to tip-producing tasks and must be limited in time. These tasks directly support guest service but do not generate tips by themselves. Stock and prepare fruit garnishes, syrups, mixes, juices, and bar ingredients. Prepare batches, flavored syrups, whipped creams, and specialty beverage mixes following recipes. Restock liquor, wine, beer, sodas, glassware, ice, and bar tools. Polish glassware and bar utensils used for guest service. Clean and maintain bar equipment such as shakers, strainers, soda machines, and espresso tools. Organize the bar top, bar shelves, underbar coolers, and service-well area. Refill napkins, straws, stirrers, to-go containers, and bar service items. Wipe down bar-top surfaces, chairs, and nearby décor areas. Maintain bar cleanliness and readiness throughout the shift. Perform limited sweeping or spot mopping in the immediate bar area. Excluded Tasks (Non-Tipped Work) These activities are not part of the tipped occupation and must be paid at full minimum wage if assigned. Deep cleaning (scrubbing floors, walls, drains, equipment, or restrooms). Full dishwashing or back-of-house prep unrelated to immediate drink production. Moving furniture, large event setup, maintenance, or non-service-related tasks. Administrative, marketing, clerical, or inventory paperwork. Any extended prep or cleaning work that does not directly support active guest service. Timekeeping and Pay Bartenders must accurately record all hours worked using the timekeeping system. Time spent on non-tip-producing or non-tip-supporting tasks must be clocked separately and paid at full minimum wage. Off-the-clock work is strictly prohibited. Manager approval is required for any extended sidework, prep, or shift extensions. The Company may take a lawful tip credit for hours worked in the tipped occupation where permitted by applicable law. Bartenders may participate in an approved tip pool according to Company policy. Overtime is paid at the applicable regular rate with the correct tip credit applied as required by law. Position Requirements Minimum of 1 year of bartending or beverage-focused hospitality experience strongly preferred. Must possess a valid state-issued alcohol service permit or certification as required by local law. Strong communication, multitasking, and guest service abilities. Ability to prepare beverages accurately and consistently according to recipes. Professional appearance and adherence to grooming standards. Basic math skills and accuracy when handling money, tabs, and POS transactions. Ability to stand for extended periods; repetitive bending, twisting, lifting up to 50 lbs, and climbing stairs as needed. Barback Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Show that you are an energetic, outgoing, fun person while maintaining professionalism. Perform basic prep work behind the bar: refilling ice bins, restocking beer/liquor, cutting garnishes. Change empty kegs in keg room, including moving full kegs of beer. Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency. Reading and writing abilities are utilized often when taking orders, completing paperwork, etc. Mathematical skills, including basic math are used frequently. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. The Barback position requires the ability to perform the following: Handling, carrying or lifting items weighing up to 200 pounds (kegs, ice, glasses, trays, etc.) Move about the facility efficiently and safely. Handling food, objects, products and utensils effectively and safely. Bending, standing, stooping, kneeling Withstand potential climate temperature changes in assigned work area.

Setup; serve and/or breakdown coffee breaks, receptions and other functions as assigned, following standard procedures and policies.
