Department: Food Reports to: Dining Room Manager or General Manager Supervises and coordinates activities of dining room personnel to provide fast and Responsibilities Provides excellent guest service. Is thoroughly familiar with the property and all its services. Is generally familiar with other lodges and activities in CSP. Is thoroughly familiar with dining room menu and service procedures. Takes reservations and inquiries over telephone. Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for dinners. Greets guests, escorts them to tables and provides menus. Seats guests in such a way as to minimize the dining room and be fair to the serving staff. Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness and requisitions table linens and other dining room supplies for tables and serving stations. Prepares beverages and expedites food orders. Operates cash register/POS system and is responsible for the accuracy of all postings. Collects payment from customers. Keeps work area clean and uncluttered. Totals receipts at end of shift to verify sales and clears cash register. This includes, but is not limited to, balancing and batching credit card payments, balancing and verifying in-house as well as resort-to-resort room charges and recording and paying our server tips and cash. May be assigned other duties, sometimes in other departments, as the need arises to support fellow staff members in achieving the company mission. Job Description Banquet Server's primary role is to greet, assist and serve guests at special functions and events, while ensuring Brand Standards and Banquet Department operating procedures are being followed. The Banquet Server will help assist with event preparation and clean up, serve guests, and respond to questions, complaints and requests of our guests. Specific job knowledge, skills and abilities: Ability to read, speak and write basic English in order to communicate with customers and other employees Ability to exercise good judgment Possess multi-tasking skills Knowledge of food and beverage menus, food preparation and presentation Ability to follow detailed instructions with minimal supervision at times Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently Possess good inter-personal and sales related experience Possess basic computer skills to be able to use POS system or cash register system Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, sit, walk, climb, bend, crouch/stoop, twist and reach for extended periods of time. Especially standing for long periods of time Have moderate to high level of energy and physical stamina Exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously Most work tasks are performed indoors.
