Tioga Downs is hiring for Host/Hostess/Cashiers for our popular County Fair Buffet. You will provide our guests with a delightful dining experience from the initial reception until the final good-bye in accordance with the Company's high standards of Guest Service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide excellent guest service while actively supporting the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.
Offer all guests a warm and friendly welcome
Accurately and efficiently operate the register to accept payment from food and beverage Guests in a prompt and courteous manner
Bring guests to their seats, answer their questions, provide directions, introduce them to servers for additional help if needed
Thank them on their way out and invite them to return
Assist as needed to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of assigned areas
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous cashier and customer service experience highly preferred.
The Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 5 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
The County Fair Buffet operates between 5AM-11PM, 7 days a week. We are open to Casino guests between 7AM-8/9PM depending on the day of the week. Cashiers/Hosts are typically scheduled during open hours. Because we serve Casino guests, morning, night, weekend, and holiday availability may be necessary.

Education and/or Experience
Minimum of six (6) months work experience in service-oriented environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar on a daily basis. This includes requisitioning and stocking of all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws and stirrers, condiments and produce based on projections from the daily functions sheet
Maintain stock by cutting and storing of all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables to ensure product quality
Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner; promote and document orders for drinks; mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; and practice prudent portion control
Input orders into a register at the point-of-sale and create a check for each guest, including those served by other beverage servers in order to maintain accountability of all beverages served
Receive cash from guests, make change, verify validity of charges, record charges, and ensure vouchers are properly executed in order to balance all transactions
Lock and store all beverage, food, and other equipment items; deposit cash drops
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis
Perform any other job related duties as assigned
