General Responsibilities:
With program enrollment maximized in Energy Systems Technology the program has opened additional labs. This position will aid in lab safety, facilitation of student assistance and achievement of course outcomes. In addition, this position will participate in the development of additional educational trainers required to meet student needs in future quarters.
Essential Functions:
Lab Assistant
* Assisting students achieve success in the Lab setting, while ensuring appropriate, and safe operations of training equipment.
Lab Preventative Maintenance
* Inspecting and Maintaining lab training equipment to ensure operability, and safe conditions for students.
Lab Development
* Assembling and/or moving educational trainers, assisting in upgrades and ensuring enough trainers are available and operable for lab students, in addition to duties as assigned.

* Preparing the educational lab environment prior to lab operations, including housekeeping, consumable accountability, and duties as assigned.

This part-time temporary position (up to 17-hours per week) is located at the Walla Walla Campus.
Work is performed almost exclusively in a classroom and lab environment. Hazard of electric shock, lock out tagout, and overhead hazards. Trade tools, machinery and equipment will be utilized. Daily interactions with students and instructors.

provide technical and regulatory support for The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site, Richland Operations Office (RL) and Office of River Protection (ORP), Environmental Compliance Division (ECD)
Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist | RL Environmental Compliance Division (ECD) Support Services - GSSC Candidates shall work to support requirements for FY22-006 Hanford Technical and Regulatory Support Swim Lanes and
ProSidian Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist personnel shall provide support in the following areas:
Assist in the review of tank closure documents, schedules, milestones, design packages, and modifications and provide technical and regulatory recommendations.
Provide consulting and strategic recommendations based upon the review of tank closure documents, coordination of reviews, developments of regulatory positions, and consolidation of comments for DOE Hanford submittal to the ProSidian Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist, as well as comment resolution.
Support upcoming TF contract transition actions and contract closeout activities including developing discrete schedule of tasks and deliverables.
Support oversight of various WTP readiness activities related to validating the ProSidian Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist's readiness to melter heatup and DFLAW hot/cold commissioning activities.

Provide assessments and reports weekly.

Provide periodic reports of work overseen and any compliance deviations.
Participate in contract transition and closeout teams.
Follow-up on issues, findings, and other areas of concern.
Participate in meetings with senior management team, including preparation of meeting minutes.
Qualifications
The Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist | RL Environmental Compliance Division (ECD) Support Services - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.
ProSidian Technical and Regulatory Support Specialist personnel shall possess the following minimum qualifications:
A BS/BA degree in engineering, science, or business management.
5 or more years of relevant experience.
Working level knowledge of Hanford Site mission, activities, and priorities (preferred).
Proven ability to interface successfully with senior level management.

About The Navys Advanced Electronics / Computer Field (AECF) offers extensive training in electronics, computer systems, radar, communications, and weapons fire control systems, including the Navys advanced missile systems and Aegis radar. These technicians are essential to the ships Combat Systems department, ensuring readiness for combat operations across the fleet.
Responsibilities
As an Electronics Technician (ET) or Fire Controlman (FC), you may:
Maintain and repair radar, communication, and navigation equipment.
Operate, maintain, and repair fire control radars, mainframe computers, large screen displays, LANs, weapon control consoles, and automatic gun systems.
Troubleshoot and repair electro-mechanical systems used in weapons systems.
Support combat systems readiness aboard aircraft carriers, Aegis cruisers, and other surface ships.
Work Environment
ETs and FCs serve on fleet units worldwide and at shore-based repair facilities. Expect assignments aboard ships, at remote stations, and in technical repair shops. Work is highly technical, requiring precision and teamwork.
Training & Advancement
Apprentice Technical Training Great Lakes, IL (11 weeks)
FC Strand Great Lakes, IL (16 weeks)
ET Strand Great Lakes, IL (22 weeks) Training covers electronics theory, radar systems, communications suites, missile and gun system ballistics, troubleshooting, and fiber optics. After A School, technicians may attend advanced C Schools. College credits are often available for Navy training.
