THE ROLE Join AMD's Virtual Bring-Up (VBU) team as a Project Manager to contribute to innovative solutions for next-generation products. The Project Manager will oversee cross-functional programs spanning hardware, FPGA, software, validation, and manufacturing disciplines - ensuring execution excellence from concept through qualification and release. THE PERSON The successful candidate will project manage key emulation and prototyping program. This role requires cross-functional coordination, documentation and process control, system health & infrastructure oversight sitting at the intersection of FPGA engineering, software automation, and infrastructure-level validation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Develop and manage integrated project schedules across hardware, firmware, validation, and manufacturing tracks. * Define milestones, deliverables, and interdependencies for PCB, chassis, FPGA, and system qualification phases. * Monitor critical path activities, resource allocations, and risk areas - proactively drive mitigations. * Define and enforce design-review, DVT, and release-to-production checklists. * Support continuous improvement in workflows (build automation, release gates, Jira/Confluence hygiene, etc.). Drive daily stand-ups and delay escalations. * Provide concise, data-driven status updates to leadership - covering schedule, cost, quality, and risk metrics. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * 8+ years of experience managing complex hardware or datacenter system programs. * Proven track record leading multi-disciplinary teams (hardware, FPGA, software, QA, and manufacturing). * Strong technical understanding of PCB development, FPGA/SoC integration, and system-level qualification. * Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar project-tracking tools. * Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to translate technical depth into actionable plans. ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS: * Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering (MBA or PMP a plus).
