Interfaith Older Adult Programs company history timeline

1975

The organization, which officially incorporated in 1975, has provided programs for older adults throughout the county.

1977

The program started providing services in 1977 and soon had forty volunteers serving older adults.

1979

Cudahy-St Francis Interfaith incorporated in 1979.

1985

In 1985, SET launched the model with three subsidized public housing facilities for the elderly in Milwaukee.

1989

A steering committee comprised of local clergy and representatives from human service agencies began laying the groundwork for the organization in 1989.

1999

In 1999, Interfaith working with Middle School and High School students, began providing snow-shoveling services for older adults in Cudahy.

2007

In 2007, long-time Director Phyllis Dettman retired.

2008

In October of 2008, the Boards of Directors of Cudahy/St Francis Neighborhood Outreach Program and Project Concern hired Mark Peters as Executive Director of both organizations.

2014

The need for a rebranding of Interfaith’s name and look was one of the outcomes of the Strategic Plan process, started in 2014.
