Job Description
1. Assist in routine cycle counts and full inventory audits.
2. Maintain weekly corrugate and packaging cycle count programs.
3. Record inventory levels and update counts in the computer system.
4. Identify and correct discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
5. Assist with labeling, organizing, and tracking inventory locations.
6. Execute monthly and quarterly cycle counts of all production locations
7. Assist and support the warehouses with inventory movements and adjustments.
8. Generate reports for inventory accuracy
9. Act as backup for the cycle counter and Inventory Analyst as needed.
Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
2. Experience with warehousing, inventory control, and production flow is preferred
3. JDE experience preferred
4. Ability to sit for a minimum of 7 hours during an 8 hour shift
5. Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance and minimal near vision ability read 10 - 12-point print at a distance of 12 - 18 inches
6. Ability to lift 30lbs once a day.
7. Ability and willingness to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime
8. Ability to wear all PPE (personal protective equipment, such as safety glasses, hearing protection and steel toed shoes)
9. Knowledge of MS Excel ad Microsoft word with the ability to extract, manipulate, and analyze large volumes of data
10. 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
11. Organizational and problem solving skills a must
12. Attention to detail and the ability to see a project through to completion
13. Ability to meet deadlines

The Surplus Warehouse Associate works with Surplus team to receive, sort, stage, photograph, document all inbound components within the SIGMA Surplus Warehouse, as well as pick, package and ship outbound Surplus orders. This role is responsible for the safe movement of all MRO components and filling out associated paperwork both inbound receiving and outbound shipment to our customers.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Receive and inventory MRO components when they arrive. Maintain an organized area and assist the purchasing team in the proper identification and cataloging of inbound products.
Following proper organization and triage methods for all inbound inventory to Sigma Surplus including photographing items, uploading photos into the proper system, as well as labeling items for them to then be put away into inventory storage.
Triage, sort, and breakdown of automation related MRO components, as well as checking in the contents of an order to then later be priced and reviewed by the team. This includes accurate capture of the manufacturer (OEM), part numbers, condition, and quantity.
Assist with processing and listing of MRO components onto our various ecommerce platforms via template and SKU creation using both internal and third-party software solutions.
Assist the organized put away of items into our warehouse using SkuVault software.
Assist with consolidation efforts throughout the warehouse to maximize space efficiencies.
Assist with the picking, packing and shipping of daily outbound shipments in order to fulfill customer orders and help manage order backlog.
Preparing parcels for shipment by expediting company (i.e. - UPS, USPS, FedEx)
Managing daily work requirements of the assigned team to ensure daily, weekly, monthly and yearly work goals and metrics are obtained.
Operate a forklift and/or order picker to assist in moving or consolidating of products.
Assist in training new team members in the proper cleaning, documentation, triage, skidding, and transporting of industrial MRO components and inbound/outbound Surplus shipments.
Manage the movement of inbound shipments through our CRM system to ensure the proper internal processes are followed and adhered to.
Assembling and building custom wooden skids as needed for larger customer orders.
Organizing warehouse and work area for orderliness and cleanliness at all times.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read equipment manufacturer's operation manuals, maintenance manuals and machine schematic drawings is a plus.
Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment.
Computer proficiency and an ability to use Google suite required.
Knowledge of ShipStation and SKuVault is a plus, but not required.
Demonstrated strong work ethic, attention to detail and working in a team environment.
Timeliness and reliability are key to the success of this role and future growth.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma is required; some college preferred

Must have a valid Driver's license.

Assist with consolidation efforts throughout the warehouse to maximize space efficiencies.
Assist with the picking, packing and shipping of daily outbound shipments in order to fulfill customer orders and help manage order backlog.
Preparing parcels for shipment by expediting company (i.e. - UPS, USPS, FedEx)
