What would you do as our Inventory Control Associate? In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, updating, investigating, and analysing inventory records. You would also: Regularly update inventory systems (daily, weekly or monthly) to reflect inventory movements, usage, miscellaneous shipments, error corrections and similar transactions. Investigate inventory discrepancies by working with Manufacturing, Receiving, Accounts Payable, Scheduling, and accounting personnel. Collaborate directly with individuals whose actions may cause inventory discrepancies. Provide training and guidance to ensure accurate inventory handling. Escalate persistent or recurring inventory issues to appropriate management in Accounting and Manufacturing. Track, document, and report inventory inaccuracies on a regular basis. Recommend improvements to inventory control processes by analyzing current methods and conducting special analysis. Actively participate in the annual physical inventory. Serve as a resource by training staff, assisting with issues, and guiding counters and auditors. Work with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and analyze physical inventory results and discrepancies. Partner with Cost Accounting personnel to improve inventory accuracy and implement process enhancements. Perform basic consumption estimates as needed. Review and recommend changes to bills of materials based on inventory and usage analysis. Make presentations to support process improvements within the scope of the role Ability to work overtime when needed Perform special assignments and projects as assigned Actively participate in providing a safe and harmonious working environment for all employees Assure compliance with federal, state, local and corporate governance policies, regulations and laws, AADG programs and policies and the ASSA ABLOY Code of Conduct The Skills and Experience you need: High School diploma or GED equivalent Minimum of 2 years of direct work experience in a manufacturing environment Knowledge of inventory systems and/or processes Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong basic math skills, including ability to read tape measure. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, organizational, follow-up and a high comfort level, balancing multiple priorities or projects simultaneously. Must excel working in a fast-paced environment.
