Masaru Ohta is in charge of finances, and has about 20 years of experience in finance and accounting and over 10 years of experience in private equity investment and capital markets. He is also currently serving executive management to several venture companies as an external board member. Prior to that, he served on the boards of Phoenix Capital, which is one of the largest private equity fund focusing on buyout and business recovery in Japan, where he had led their investment team, invested around JPY32 billion and brought a large amount of capital gain to the investors of the funds and to the company itself. Prior to that, he was employed by Mitsubishi UFJ Capital (predecessor to UFJ Capital), where he was in charge of corporate planning and business administration further to venture investment. He started his career at Pricewaterhouse Coopers for 10 years from 1991 and had experienced various advisory services there. He had been engaged in Audits of Financial Statements of IT and Hi-tech companies for over 4 years and in consulting services, especially Business Process Re-engineering and implementation of ERP software for about 3 years. After that he had been engaged in Financial Advisory Services such as advisory services for M&A for about 3 years. He is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is member of the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Phani is a seasoned product executive with extensive product management experience and multiple idea-to-success experiences in IoT, cloud, mobile, developer platforms and enterprise middleware. His domain expertise includes cold chain monitoring and automation, and remote asset monitoring of tanks, vending machines, cell towers, transformers and other assets. Phani has 6 patents and holds an MBA from UC Berkeley and a Masters in Computer Science from Oregon State.
