Responsibilities
The Practice Management Specialist collects, inputs, and updates data in firmwide databases designed to track litigation matters from beginning to resolution. Specialists also track and monitor compliance to client reporting guidelines, researching and compiling data for analysis and performing other duties in relationship to database querying and report generation.

Your Role
Strategic Pitch Development
Lead the development of high-priority cross-practice pitches, proposals, and panel RFPs across key industries and global regions.

Collaborate closely with partners, lawyers, firm leadership and BD colleagues to craft compelling, client-centric narratives that highlight the firm's strengths and differentiators.
Translate technical legal expertise into persuasive, value-driven language tailored to each opportunity.
Develop and manage standard templates for pitches and proposals, including templates for cover letters, executive summaries, and follow-up communications.
Content, Systems & AI Innovation
Contribute to the development and implementation of the firm's pitch generation and proposal automation software, ensuring content accuracy, organization and adoption across the BD team.
Lead the development and continued governance of the firm's content repository in SharePoint and Foundation, ensuring materials are current, categorized, and easily accessible to partners and BD colleagues.
Leadership, Collaboration & Training
Manage and mentor team members, effectively delegating responsibilities, and overseeing the quality of their work while successfully balancing and advancing own work deliverables.

Who We're Looking For
A proven professional with strong strategic thinking and execution skills, with a minimum of 5 years of demonstrable pitch, panel RFP and/or practice generation experience.
Experience in professional services, preferably in a law firm environment, with the ability to work across time zones and with global team (as needed).
Legal business development and marketing experience highly desired.

The Knowledge Management (KM) Solutions Specialist reports to the Associate Director of KM Solutions and supports the KM Directors, KM Managers and the broader KM team. The Office Administrator manages the day-to-day operations, facilities and secretarial support for their designated office. 2027 2L Summer Program Opportunities
McDermott is seeking 2L summer associates to join us for our 10-week 2027 Summer Associate Program. Our program offers summer associates a realistic introduction to the practice of law and day-to-day life as a McDermott associate. The summer associate program provides meaningful responsibility and feedback that is consistent with a junior associate experience. 2027 Summer Associates will receive weekly compensation of $4,326, less applicable taxes and withholdings.
As part of the application and interview process, applicants are asked to indicate their primary practice area(s) of interest. Throughout the summer program, summer associates will primarily receive assignments from their designated practice area but will also have the opportunity to explore assignments from other groups. With the exception of our Intellectual Property group, McDermott does not hire summer associates into specific practice areas. However, our first-year associates are placed into practice areas. Therefore, we seek to align summer associates' general practice interests with local office practice representation.

Collaborate with the broader Accounting and Finance Systems team to align solutions with firm standards and reusable patterns while remaining accountable for Invoice-to-Pay outcomes and delivery
Job Specifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required; Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred
At least seven (7) years of experience in systems implementation, product ownership, or process improvement roles, preferably supporting Accounting or Finance operations
Experience with Invoice-to-Pay processes and systems, including invoice workflow, approvals, vendor data, expense processing, and payment readiness; familiarity with integrated enterprise financial systems strongly preferred
Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical deliverables and lead initiatives from concept through deployment
Strong knowledge of internal controls, auditability, and operational risk considerations in financial processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, and deliver on commitments

Target Hiring Range $131,000 - $194,000

Base pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. Base pay is only one part of the Total Rewards that MWS provides to compensate and recognize our staff professionals for their work. Full time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
